RoadTac Soil Binder Exceeds Performance Expectations

The summer of 2009 brought upon extreme challenges to the marketplace. With an unforgiving economy and State/County/City budget restraints, meeting the needs of our customers under extreme economical pressures became a priority. In order to maximize our customer’s investment, RoadTac needed to perform longer and require lower application rates than other products on the market.

Developed over 2 years ago, RoadTac is a premium quality co-polymer designed for maximum soil binding strength with added cohesive agents for flexibility. Crusting agents typically will sit on top of the soil and become brittle after time, thereby cracking over time and allowing for fugitive dust to once again become airborne. RoadTac was developed to penetrate the surface and flex with the natural tendencies of the soil during traffic and weather.

All Natural Bio-Based Dust Suppressants Developed for Environmentally Sensitive Applications

The Amber Group, LLC announces a launch of all-natural 100% agriculturally derived dust suppressants. The functional constituents of these products is derived from grain in the production of naturally-sourced biodeisel. The development of these products follows TAG’s mission to introduce environmentally-friendly products that allow for worry free application and depend upon renewable resources. With ever increasing stringent air and water quality regulations being mandated throughout the U.S., TAG has designed a product line that far exceeds any minimum requirements.

The environmental impact of the base materials of these products has been extensively studied and tested. Not only has the USDA approved the raw materials of these products as ingredients in organic foods (7CFR 205.605), all of the materials are being used in food, drug and personal care products. For food uses, the component is listed by the FDA as “Generally Recognized as Safe” (GRAS) as a multi-purpose food additive (21CFR 182.1320); among many other foods, it can be found in marshmallows, candy, fudge and baked goods. Studies indicate these materials present no ingestion hazards to animals. Aquatic toxicity studies have shown it to be safe to various species of fish at levels in excess of 5,000 mg/l.

The Amber Group Donates ArenaTech Dust Suppressant to Arizona Equine Rescue Organization

Phoenix, Arizona – Arizona Equine Rescue Organization, Inc. (AERO) was chosen by The Amber Group, LLC (TAG) as a recipient of a new biodegradable and all natural dust suppression for their horse arenas to reduce the need for watering and create a dust-free riding environment for horses and riders. ArenaTech coats the footing particles while attracting moisture, bonding the particles together making them too heavy to become airborne. TAG presented AERO with this donation of ArenaTech to support the organization in its efforts to provide medical attention and care to horses that have suffered from abuse and neglect. The application of ArenaTech to the arenas footings improves the air quality for the horses, further supporting AERO’s mission in providing the best care and treatment to all horses.

“We are so excited about this amazing donation to help our horses recover with cleaner air and to reduce our water usage in our arenas,” said Soleil Dolce, Vice President of Finance and Community Programs for AERO. “With the upcoming dust control measures and our need to support the healing process of our horses, ArenaTech became the perfect environmentally friendly answer for our facility.” AERO specializes in rescuing severe abuse and neglect cases that need specialized rehabilitation resources.

“When Ms. Dolce called our company about her desire to comply with upcoming dust suppression requirements in an economical way we were eager to help” said Kristen Delamore of the Sales Group at TAG. “We know about the obvious health benefits of controlling dust for rehabilitating horses but we also understand how our product was the ideal solution to meet all of AERO’s needs for a safe and effective dust suppressant measure. ArenaTech is just one of many safe dust control products that TAG has developed but we consider it the most rewarding because it helps horses lead healthier lives.”

Since AERO started in 2001 the demand for its services has increased exponentially with growth doubling again just in the last year. The organization has been able to meet much of this demand with very little increase in budget thanks to donations like the one TAG has provided and the time provided by dedicated volunteers of this all volunteer charity.

Horse Arena Dust Control

Dust suppression in horse arenas presents a unique group of demands and ArenaTech provides a safe and economical solution. Inhalation of fine dust particles results in respiratory ailments and airway diseases which are the number one health issue for horse owners and trainers. It is known that horses require 3000% times more oxygen while training and competing than while at rest. The necessity of clean air for horses has become a high priority to arena owners to increase the performance of their horses while maintaining a healthy environment for riding. Formulated entirely from agriculturally derived eco-friendly materials, ArenaTech coats each particle of the arena footing through the process of accumulation and absorption. Its humectant properties attracts moisture by absorbing water from the air. Treatments are accumulative and the need for watering in the arena can be reduced by 50% or more. ArenaTech is one of the many eco-friendly dust suppressants that TAG has developed to promote use of all natural resources to reduce the use of volatile hydrocarbons which are detrimental to the environment.

Creating Solutions for the Concrete Grinding Industry

In 2005, TAG was approached by major concrete companies in California to address the new environmental laws passed by the State regulating the disposal of concrete grinding waste. TAG took on the challenge and developed several chemical enhancement programs for the separation of the concrete and water, including both precipitation and centrifuging. The constant changing variables of the concrete properties and solids created a challenge in the chemical program, ultimately leading to TAG’s development of several proprietary blends of dry and liquid products used by the top concrete cutting companies in the United States.
